He sought out a Buddhist teacher named Marpa, filled with remorse for his actions, hoping to find a way to atone for his sins.Milarepa's primary teacher was Marpa, who guided him through years of intense spiritual practice and meditation. Milarepa faced many difficulties during this time, including long periods of isolation and physical deprivation, but he persisted with a firm determination to purify his mind and achieve enlightenment.Milarepa eventually became one of the most accomplished yogis of his time as a result of his dedication and practice. He is said to have attained supernatural abilities and to be able to communicate with animals and natural spirits. He also wrote many songs and poems, many of which are well-known in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition. The teachings of Milarepa emphasize the importance of meditation as well as the need to overcome negative emotions such as anger, jealousy, and attachment. He is also well-known for his compassion and willingness to assist others on their path to enlightenment. Milarepa is now regarded as a spiritual exemplar and an inspiration to Tibetan Buddhist practitioners all over the world.
