Collection: Arjun Shakya
Arjun Shakya’s journey into the world of statue-making is one of passion, perseverance, and quiet determination. Growing up away from his parents, Arjun lived with his uncle from the age of five. During his formative years, he developed a strong work ethic by assisting in the family business. However, it wasn’t until the age of 28 that he chose to follow his true calling—bringing life to sacred art.
Under the guidance of his teacher, Arjun began with the intricate task of shaping fingers, a foundation that honed his attention to detail and patience. With a deep curiosity and dedication, he often stood silently behind his teacher, absorbing the nuances of the craft, even when unnoticed. Determined to focus solely on his art, Arjun isolated himself, taking hidden routes to his teacher’s workshop to avoid distractions and judgment from friends.
Today, Arjun is celebrated for his precision, artistry, and profound respect for traditional craftsmanship. His creations are not just statues; they are timeless embodiments of spirituality and devotion. Each piece he sculpts tells a story of his dedication, skill, and the years of sacrifice he poured into perfecting his craft. Arjun’s workshop has grown into a haven for traditional artistry, now housing a team of skilled artisans who share his passion and commitment to excellence.
