Red Dzambhala, known in Tibetan as Dzambhala Mapo, is a radiant and majestic form of the God of Wealth. Adorned with a crown, jewel and gold ornaments, and silk garments, he is seen "seated imperially in the center of the multi-colored lotus throne, stepped on a white conch shell." With a powerful presence and a compassionate vow, he brings blessings of abundance and influence, especially to those in high positions seekingto do good in the world.

He is the manifestation of Vajrasattva, the Buddha of Purification, and sometimes appears in varying forms—"having two faces and four arms," or even "an elephant head." He is often embraced by his consort Vasudhara, who also holds wish-fulfilling jewels, forming a divine partnership that radiates prosperity. Red Dzambhala’s beneficence is especially meaningful for those with the astrological element of fire or the animal sign of snake or horse. Through mantra and water-offering rituals, his blessings awaken wealth, talent, and popularity.

    Manifestation ofVajrasattva and Ganesha

The history and origin of the RedDzambhala, are rich and complex, defined by varied theological definitions that speak to his power as "The Lord of wealth and fortune, with mighty power blessing us prosperity". The primary spiritual origin in Buddhist traditionidentifiesthe RedDzambhalaas the manifestation ofVajrasattva, the Buddha of Purification. However, sources also note a significant difference in how this deity is defined, as some legends link him directly to the Hindu pantheon, claiming that he is the Hindu God of Wealth, Lord Ganesh, which accounts for depictions where hepossessesthe head of an elephant. This dual origin leads to multiple distinct, yet equally revered, iconographic representations of the deity, all of which form the legend of his power.
